Key Responsibilities
As a Captain, you’ll hold full responsibility for the safety, security, and operation of the aircraft, its crew, and passengers, from the moment you arrive at the aircraft until engines shut down post-flight. Your leadership and judgment will be key in ensuring every journey is safe, efficient, and in line with both regulatory and company standards.
You’ll:
- Oversee all aspects of aircraft operation during flights
- critical decisions during normal and non-normal operations
- Lead and support the flight crew, setting a professional standard onboard
- Ensure all procedures are followed and adapted safely as needed
- Set an example in communication, professionalism and safety culture
Skills and Knowledge
- We’re looking for Captains with strong technical ability, excellent communication and a professional approach to leadership and crew collaboration.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
- Full ATPL (UK CAA) with a current Class 1 Medical
- Currently or recently operated in on a multi-crew aircraft (MTOW >10t or 19+ pax)
- 1000 Hours operated Pilot-in-Command on a multi-crew aircraft MTOW >10t or with more than 19 seats operated in a passenger Commercial Air Transport Operation.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, safety practices, and flight operations.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and timely and sound decisions
- Proven teamwork and leadership skills
- Right to live and work in the UK
Desirable:
Valid ERJ 145 or ATR 42/72 Type Rating
For Type Specific applications the following criteria must apply:
Essential for Embraer:
500 Hours operated Pilot-in-Command on a jet multi-crew aircraft MTOW >10t or with more than 19 seats operated in a passenger Commercial Air Transport Operation.
Desirable for ATR:
500 Hours operated Pilot-in-Command on a Turboprop aircraft MTOW >10t or with more than 19 seats operated in a passenger Commercial Air Transport Operation
