Astral Aviation is seeking to appoint a Director Flight Operations to lead and govern the airline’s flight operations environment across safety, compliance, operational control and execution.

This is a senior role with accountability for flight operations, crewing, training, Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) and ground operations. The position is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant and disciplined operations in line with regulatory requirements, AOC conditions and company standards. 

The successful candidate will provide senior leadership across operational performance, crew readiness, training validity, regulatory compliance, operational discipline and audit readiness. The role requires strong judgement, leadership maturity and the ability to drive accountability across a complex operating environment.

This appointment is part of Astral Aviation’s ongoing effort to strengthen leadership capability, improve execution discipline and advance its operating and commercial model in support of sustainable growth.

• Valid ATPL required
• Significant senior leadership experience in airline operations
• Strong background in flight operations, crew management, training oversight and regulatory compliance
• Proven ability to lead in a regulated airline environment
• Strong understanding of operational control, safety governance and performance management
• Cargo experience preferred, though strong airline candidates from adjacent sectors may be considered
