As our next Airport Services Officer you will need to support and coordinate frontline operations at London Gatwick, ensuring safe, efficient and customer focussed service delivery. The role involves assisting with oversight of check-in, boarding, baggage, ramp, lounges, hotel, and terminal control activities whilst contributing to staff support, resource utilisation, service recovery and continuous improvement. 

A day in the life of our Airport Services Officer, could involve: 

• Coordinating frontline airport operations to support efficient, customer-focussed service delivery across key areas in the airport. 
• Manage and support escalations related to policies and procedures 
• Support Supervisors and frontline teams by providing guidance, motivation and role-modelling of service excellence. Promote engagement through feedback and continuous improvement, maintaining effectiuve communication and coordination with duty teams to ensure alignment of priorities. 
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination during normal and disrupted operations. 
• Monitor adherence to safety, security and regulatory standards across all operational activities and intervene to address any gaps in standards.  

Qualification

To be considered for this role you must have:

• The unrestricted right to live and work in the UK
• Be fluent in spoken and written English
• Able to provide a full five year history and pass a DBS, in order to obtain an airport security pass
• At least three years experience of leading and managing teams in Airport Operations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• The ability to work shifts

You will have an edge if: 

• You have a strong understanding of airport procedures and systems, including IATA standards
• You are analytical and enjoy solving problems with attention to detail
• Can speak additional languages

Emirates in London Gatwick is going through an exciting period of growth, having announced an additional flight to begin in February. Our Airport Services Officers are a key leadership role and anticipate a lot of applications.
