MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE
To lead the implementation, entry into service, and continued operational integration of the Boeing 787 fleet by providing sustained technical and operational expertise within the Flight Operations department, coordinating the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational documentation, and integrating inputs from all relevant departments, while ensuring the effective application of Safety Management System (SMS) principles, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Acts as the Flight Operations lead for the Boeing 787 fleet implementation and Entry Into Service (EIS) program.
• Leads and coordinates all flight operations–related aspects of the Boeing 787 introduction, ensuring alignment with project milestones, safety objectives, and regulatory requirements, while conducting quality control functions to ensure adherence to company standards.
• Coordinates the development, review, and approval of Boeing 787 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational policies, and procedures in accordance with manufacturer guidance, regulatory standards, and company philosophy.
• Integrates inputs from all relevant departments including Safety, Training, Engineering, Ground Operations, Network Control Center, Inflight Services, and IT to ensure operational readiness of the Boeing 787 fleet.
• Chairs or actively participates in cross-functional project working groups related to Boeing 787 implementation.
• Conducts and oversees Management of Change (MOC), operational risk assessments, and hazard identification activities associated with fleet introduction and procedural changes.
• Develops and implements mitigation strategies and ensure risks are communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
• Conducts quality control activities within the Flight Operations Department to ensure adherence to company standards, approved procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Liaises with regulatory authorities to support certification, approvals, and ongoing compliance related to Boeing 787 operations.
• Oversees and coordinates the production, review, and implementation of operational manuals, SOPs, and technical documentation related to Boeing 787 operations.
• Supports the development of training programs, courseware, and reference material for flight crew and relevant operational staff in coordination with the Training Department.
• Ensures consistency between SOPs, training material, MEL/CDL considerations, and operational documentation.
• Monitors manufacturer publications, industry best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to Boeing 787 operations.
• Evaluates post-implementation performance, identify lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Represents the Flight Operations department at internal and external meetings, industry forums, and conferences related to Boeing 787 technical projects and flight safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma
• Fluent in English
• Expertise in safety management systems and project management in an airline or civil aviation authority. Flying experience in long-haul operations in wide-body aircraft.
• Proficient in report writing and utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.
• Years with qualifications: 10 - 12 years
• Valid ATPL

ISR REQUIREMENTS

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
